Consultation & Soul Care for Ministry Leaders

Leadership can be a lonely endeavor that wears away at the soul of the leader. Relational struggles, crisis management, and unending demands can lead to burnout and discouragement. There are seasons when all leaders can benefit from having a confidential and supportive space to work through complex ministry situations and personal challenges. Because situations and needs vary, consultation & soul care for leaders can look like coaching, spiritual direction, pastoral care, or crisis support. Whatever your needs, Elizabeth approaches consultation through a relationally-oriented and trauma-informed model that is rooted in the Christian Soul Care tradition and considers the holistic needs of individuals (body, soul, & spirit).

Elizabeth Pennock has over 20 years of experience in vocational Christian ministry, including over a decade of specialized work in supporting ministry leaders through counseling, consultation, and training. She has walked alongside pastors, parachurch leaders, cross-cultural ministry workers, and their families through challenging ministry and life situations. Elizabeth also has experience in providing ministry candidate assessment; crisis care for individuals, families & organizations; and debriefing (during home assignments or ministry transitions).

Consultation & soul care for leaders can take many forms including:

  • Intensive care & consultation (multiple hours a day over 2-5 days)
  • Short-term weekly care & consultation (1-2 times per week)
  • Consistent, long-term consultation, care, and support (1-2 times per month)

All services are offered either in-person (in Holland, Michigan) or virtually (via a secure video platform). Costs vary based on a variety of factors. Many ministry leaders find that some or all of the costs can be covered by their churches and organizations. Use the contact form to reach out to Elizabeth about your particular situation and needs. Elizabeth is glad to provide a free, 15-minute consultation to best determine how she can come alongside you in your journey.
