The Child’s Counseling Session Experience Scale© (CCSES) is designed to assess elementary school aged students’ experiences with individual counseling sessions. The two primary areas examined by the CCSES are (a) the therapeutic relationship in counseling and (b) supporting the client change process in counseling. The CCSES is aligned with the theoretical tenets of Motivational Interviewing (Miller & Rollnick, 2012) with elementary school aged clients. (IRB#:15-11547)
